Visits,Photos, & Parade
Ever since Macie has turned One we have been on the move. She is walking and walking and walking! It is very hard to even get her to stop. Let alone sit! She has also been on the move socially too!

Just this past week....
Monday: Macie got to go met her Great Grandma Houp in Glencoe. She really put on a show for her. Mommal couldn't believe how much she looked like her mommy. She also said, "She was the friendliest baby she has ever met. " This trip for me was bittersweet but, it was long over due. I am just so glad the finally got to meet.
Tuesday: Was picture day! I had to call in reinforcement. So, Aunt Jean came along for all of the picture taking excitement. Boy, did we have a blast! Macie had a hour and a half photo shoot. This is going to cost me. LOL! Afterwards we stopped by Nana's work to say Hi. Then it was off to lunch with Aunt Jean at the Mexican Restaurant. Nana later met up with us. We had to do the switch so I could head to work.

Okay People this part you are not going to believe. Later that evening Chad came home to a baby goat on our front porch. Yes!! A GOAT!!
I think this is a sign saying we need to start a petting zoo!!! LOL!! Not going to happen!! Now are drama is that we can't catch the goat to take it to the petting zoo. We even had our neighbors and Buddy from Noah's Ark petting zoo over to try to catch it. The best part is that he sits on our front steps like Libby does. Crazy Goat! I will keep you updated on this fiasco.
Wednesday: Macie got to enjoy the Alexandria World's Fair Parade. She went totally crazy! She loved it! I think she enjoyed the marching band the best. I was totally shocked that the fire trucks with the sirens didn't even phase her. She just waved and laughed. Maybe she was showing off because Oliver was there.

The Birthday Bash!!
We started with the food because that is very important. Then the petting zoo & pony rides arrived. Macie being the birthday girl was the first to ride Ellie the pony. She absolutely loved riding Ellie. We had a bit of a problem trying to get her off of her. Then, all the other kids got a turn. I still haven't figured out who had more fun with the animals. The Adults or the Kids!
After all the fun with the animals it was then time for cake & ice cream. I was very surprised that Macie didn't dive into her cake. She had a better time feeding the icing to her daddy. She thought that was too funny! I also think that she didn't want to get her birthday dress dirty! LOL!
Moving on the the presents! Wow! You can only imagine how many gifts she had to open! This took a while. Thankfully, her cousins helped us out. I think she opened gifts for an hour. Daddy was very nervous about where all of them are going to go. Don't worry we found room! We went from hardly any toys to play with to where do we start! Thanks again everyone for the gifts!
Well, that about wraps up the party! We all had a great time and were all exhausted when it was over. Now, she is considered a TODDLER! AHHH!!!!! I don't like this!
Macie's First Birthday
Macie has turned ONE! We had a very exciting weekend. It all began on Macie's birthday. She got to swing on her swing set, ride poppy's tractor, go shopping at Crestview Hills, & then off to Longhorn for her birthday dinner. She had dinner with Nana, Poppy, Daddy & Mommy. Then Rick stopped by for some cake. They even sang to her and she thought it was funny! She did get really excited when Poppy blew out her candle.
We then gave her an Elmo cake to destroy and it really didn't happen. She was more into squeezing the icing through her fingers.

A Couple of First
Today Macie walked on grass without shoes. She thought it was so funny! Unkie was walking her. She was high stepping and trying to stand on his feet. This was too cute!
Tonight she got the remote for her daddy! This will be the first of many!
