Memorial Weekend

We had a great Memorial weekend. We went to Lake Cumberland. Macie got to wear her bathing suits for the first time. That was fun! She went swimming in her duck tub outside on the deck. For some reason she kept trying to turn around. I think it is time for a pool! I will work on that this week. Chad gave her the first four-wheeler ride. She loved it! She threw a fit when it was time to get off. Then, she sat there and starred at it. LOL!

Sunday night Nana was checking out Macie's tooth and guess what??? She found another one! Yay! Now Miss Macie has two teeth. They are both on the bottom. The front two! While we were in Somerset the girls went shopping and the boys went fishing. We all had a blast. Can't wait until next time. We have to get Macie a life jacket. We will be boating. FUN in the SUN!

Party!!!

This week Macie went to many parties. She went to a Purse Party, Pearl Party, Car Show, & Wedding Reception. This child just never wears out! She just keeps going and going. She also met up with an old pal {Lincoln} for a lunch date at the Mexican restaurant. Lincoln got to eat french fries, while Macie had Spring Vegetables.. YUM!



Macie took her Red Car Walker to the car show today. It was a hit!! Then, she met a new friend tonight {Princess Paige} ! She is 4 yrs old & has a ton of energy! We are going to be in alot of trouble if Princess Paige teaches Macie everything she knows! LOL!! Princess Paige is very smart too! I hope that rubs off onto Macie.



Update on the swing set... Macie has been swinging everyday except for one. Chad and her has now checked out the entire swing set. The other night I looked outside and they were going down the slide.... Then, Macie was steering the wheel in the clubhouse.. She was even climbing up the ropes on the side of the clubhouse. They were both worn out after that.

We have a TOOTH!!

Yes!! Miss Macie has finally broken ground. This morning Nana spotted a really white spot on her gums. Tonight when I went to pick her up, Nana was feeling around Macie's mouth and we found a sharp spot. Eventually, Nana, Poppy, & I are trying to make Macie laugh so we could see it to take a picture. Guess What? Macie is a whole lot faster than the camera. I still don't have a picture but, we are positive there is a tooth:)

The Adventures of Macie

Well, as you all know we are a very busy family. We are always on the move. I will try to remember all the wonderful details that has happened this past week. It began with going back to the Bridal Shop to find bridesmaid dresses for Sarah's Wedding. Macie is such the trooper. She just hung out, checking herself in the mirror of course. Then, we found out that the softball game was cancelled. That means No Sharkey's! Macie was a little upset. So we just settled in for the night and Macie hung out with her daddy. And played with her house.

Then, Tuesday and Wednesday were very eventful at Nana's. They went on many walks in the stroller and also Macie trying to walk herself. Nana was daring and they went to Wal-Mart. Nana said they had a great time. She said that so many people had stop and talked to them. What can I say that's what happens when you have an adorable baby!

Unkie Monkey (Eric) & Aunt Christy came over for family night on Wednesday. Macie just lights up when she See's them. Since it was a special day because Macie turned 9 months old. Macie got some ice cream with cool whip! YUMMY! Aunt Christy helped with bath time and then the romping & rolling begun. They all played and played until Macie couldn't play no more. It was then time for a bottle and bed.

Thursday was time to go to the doctors for the 9 month checkup and of course....More Shots! Let's just say that Miss Macie is a Big Girl! She weighed 24 3/4 lbs (99%) and was 29 1/2 inches long (96%). Dr. Reidy said that she is pretty close to being off the charts! He also said that her teeth will be here within the month and don't be surprised if they all don't come at once. GREAT!!

We already got the go ahead to switch Macie to milk starting 2 weeks before her first birthday. I thought, Why is he telling me this but it is only 2 1/2 months away. Scary!! I don't want to even think about that.

After the doctors we ran & had lunch with Nana at the Cobblestone Cafe in Ft. Thomas. Then, we had to stop by and give Poppy the full report. It was then a long day so we finished up at home in the PJ's with Daddy.

Friday we were off and running again we went to the grocery store and made the usual stops. Then, Macie was having a melt down in the car so we stopped by to see Julie. Julie gave her a bottle then I fed her some bananas. Then, Macie met the cats and then performed doing the usual shuffle, ball, step walk. Julie was excited that we stopped by because she hasn't seen Macie in months.

Now the weekend is finally here. Poppy promised Macie that he was going to buy her walking shoes. So, Saturday morning we were off to Nie's in Newport for the shoe fitting. It was literally the fastest purchase ever. Then, it was off to the Sweet Tooth across the street. YAY!!!

We then went to lunch at the Mexican Restaurant and stopped by Aunt Jean's house to dropped off a little sweet treat for Mother's Day! Macie put on her sunglasses and new sun hat for Aunt Jean and then she so to play the piano. Macie thought that she was Hot Stuff! We then stopped by Ft. Thomas Florist for some pretty fern for our front porch. The remainder of Saturday was spent napping on Nana & Poppy while I ran home to do more chores.

Happy Mother's Day!!! Miss Macie surprised me with an awesome gift certificate and beautiful flowers. Actually the flowers were from the first child Libby but, Macie is taking all the credit. We did the usual Sunday morning Church. Macie was escorted out by Poppy for the last 10 mins. She thought it was funny. On the way out she smiled and waved to everyone. We then proceed to Longhorn for lunch with The Houp gang. After that we went to Mamaw & Papaw Miller's and then to grandma Hofstetter's. Finally, it was time to go home for the most exciting part of the whole entire day!!!

Yes, you got it!!! Macie got her new swing set assembled. It didn't take too long. Seeing how excited it made her was PRICELESS! I must say that made My First Mother's Day Perfect!!!! Nana & Poppy came over to help we also grilled out! What a long day.

Today we had fun going to Kenwood Mall with Nana & Aunt Jean. I hope that the running slows down just for one day. Oh yeah!! It is called "WORK"!! LOL!

Busy Weekend!

Well, what can I say... The past couple of days have been a blurr!! It all started on Friday when Sarah, Karen, Macie, & I went shopping for a wedding dress for Sarah. By the time it was all over Sarah got a Beautiful Dress and I found out that I was going to be a bridesmaid! What fun! Macie did Awesome! A lady at Fabulous Brides gave Macie a Crystal Broach to play with. When I saw the price tag said $350.00. I immediately gave it back. She loved just sitting on the floor in front of this huge mirror. The only problem was she decided to use her new found voice. The laughing SCREAM!! Oh well! She was happy.

Saturday,We (nana, poppy & I) took Macie to get her 9 month pictures taken. They are so cute! I can't wait to get them. Then, Macie met up with Cousin Rylee, Auntie Paula, & Uncle Denny at the African Violet Expo at Eastgate Mall. Macie enjoyed an ice cream that poppy got her. So she was raring to go but, Rylee was sleepy. Every time Macie would jabber to Rylee. Rylee would cry and bury her head into her grandpa. Very Cute! After we left the mall I stopped by ToysRUs and found Macie's swing set that I have been going crazy to find. It was the last one. So yes.... Macie got her first Little Tikes Clubhouse Swing Set. It is too cool!

Sunday was the usual get up and go to church. Then, of course Empress for lunch. We then tackled Wal-mart and stopped by Mamaw & Papaw's house too! Then later on after Macie took a well needed 3 hour nap it was off to Nana & Poppy's for the evening.

Now we are ready for a busy week. Macie has shots this week, softball games to attend, a 9 month birthday, 2 days with Nana, & of course more shopping!!

Time Flys ....

I can't believe it is already MAY 1st. I also can't believe I haven't updated this since Jan. Any ways.. Life has been very busy and Macie is growing like a weed. She is going to turn 9 months next week. Still no teeth!
Macie got her first cold 2 weeks ago and I thought that was horrible. Just a runny nose & cough. No fever. Of course, I ran her straight to the doctors. "NEW MOM" She was fine they said it takes about 7 - 10 days to pass. They were right! Amazing!!
Yesterday was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Talk about a MELT DOWN!! Macie was in her exersaucer and I looked over and she was gagging. I scooped her up & FREAKED OUT!! She was choking on something but WHAT?? I screamed for Chad and he came flying up the steps. He took her and we dug a hairbow out of her mouth. Macie was completely fine but I was going crazy. I must say that scared me to death. No more pigtails for MISS MACIE!!
Last weekend we went to the Butterfly Expo at Krohn's Conservatory. It was so much fun. Auntie Em came up for Louisville for the occasion. I am still not for sure who enjoyed it more...Macie or Auntie. LOL!
